The Arts Society’s core belief is that the arts are essential to enriching people’s lives. For the past 50 years, it has been committed to opening the world of the arts for everyone, connecting people to the arts and to each other. The social aspect of membership is intrinsic in everything that we do.
Our lectures are usually held at:- Christ Church, Church Square, The Stray, Harrogate HG1 4SW, where we meet on the third Monday of the month for tea and coffee from 6:30pm and a one hour lecture from 7:30pm.
2020 and the impact of Covid 19 on our lecture programme
National restrictions, closures and cancellations have impacted on our Arts Society and we have had to cancel our live Lecture Programme through to the end of the year.
However, in its place, we have organised a great programme of online lectures delivered by Accredited Arts Society Speakers. We send you a link prior to the lecture and you can sit and enjoy the lecture in the comfort of your own home, using Zoom or YouTube. (if you are unsure about the technology, please email us on niddvalley@theartssociety.org and we will try and help you!)
